In the Pipeline:

What's Coming in 2026 and 2027. (Good lord willin' and the creek don't rise.)

If everything goes according to the plan still being worked on in my own head, I'll have two more novels out before the end of '27.

The first is one I've teased for a while now: Ripples in the Catfish Pond. Originally written with a different title under the intention of being a potboiler, Ripples is told in two parts. The first is in the form of a first-person manuscript written by a divorced English teacher who's looking for love in a handful of wrong places. The second part is the discovery of this manuscript by the teacher's daughter, who uses it to help determine the fate of her missing father. There's more sex and murder in this book than all my previous books combined, for what that's worth.

The second is a new version--40-plus years later--of my very first novel, Bob Smith. I can promise that this one will be as funny as Fluffball! but more accessible.

By the way, you can read my thoughts about potboilers here

Finally, I think there's a prose poem wandering around in my head bumping into things. The working title is Meditations on Death and it'll probably be even more hilarious than it sounds.
